Cachet is a publishing forum for source-grounded writing. You write an article, provide the sources you wrote from, and Cachet checks the claims in your article against those sources. It reports what it could trace, what it could not, and what conflicts with your sources. You choose whether to publish. Cachet verifies. It does not write your article for you.
You may use Cachet to write, check, and publish your own work. You are responsible for what you write and for the sources you provide. You agree not to use Cachet to publish content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that you do not have the right to publish, and not to misuse or attempt to break the service.
You keep ownership of what you write. When you publish an article, you grant Cachet the right to store, display, and share that article and its certificate on the forum and through public links, so that others can read it and see what was checked. You can ask us to remove a published article. Drafts you do not publish are yours.
Cachet checks your article against the sources you provide, using deterministic checks. It is honest about what it cannot confirm and never claims more than it checked. It is not a guarantee that your article is correct, complete, or lawful, and it is not legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice. A verdict of "traced" means a claim matched a source you gave, not that the source itself is true. You remain responsible for your work.
Cachet is in early access. Features may change, and the service may be unavailable at times. We may update these terms; if we make material changes we will note them here.
The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Cachet is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
